Why not listen to a lovely Friday cover of the real Sufjan Stevens (“For The Widows in Paradise, For the Fatherless in Ypsilanti”)? I kid, I kid. Sorta.

Jesus H. Christ. I am so tired of these Sufjan purists. I kid, I kid. Sorta.

Never said I didn’t like Sufjan’s new material.
Don’t get lost in the semantics, Abby 😉
There was some potential here (I particularly liked the backing vocals), but it felt a little too rushed, like it needed to be a little more deliberate. Plus, something about the way she sings ‘if’ just grated on my ears, sadly.
