[MP3s] Your Siren Music Festival Preview (2010 Edition)

Taking a page from last year’s pre-Siren coverage (for photos and reviews of every act last year, check here), here’s your 2010 preview in mp3s. I, unfortunately, won’t be there this year. Jamie, Jon, and helpful contributor Brittany will provide you with extensive coverage of the festival – all published over the next few days. And please – don’t be afraid to say hi! Cue last year’s preview post (I’ll let Jamie’s words speak for all of us):

For those of you at Under A Rock University where you major in not knowing things (zinger!!), the Siren Music Festival is a one-day, two-stage, free show at Coney Island, NY. Home of people eating a million hot dogs very quickly. It’s happening this Saturday at 1 p.m. @ Coney Island.

Now, Siren has a history of both showcasing great bands of today and bands that will be big in about a year. Yeah Yeah Yeahs played in 2002, one year before releasing their debut album. That same year featured The Shins (one year before they blew up with Chutes Too Narrow). The festival has also seen the likes of Liars, The Kills, Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, The Fiery Furnaces, and M.I.A all before they got huge.

So who knows which bands might jump off the page at this year’s festival. Check out the lineup with MP3s. Oh, and go of course.
