Sea Wolf’s White Water, White Bloom is lush and engaging

What can I say that hasn’t been said before? We’ve been hyping this album to death with posts and radio show appearances – and we even got Alex Church himself to discuss it. So obviously, I’m at a bit of a disadvantage here in an attempt to introduce some new words of insight […]

[MP3] Sea Wolf: “Stanislaus”

Sea Wolf White Water, White Bloom

In anticipation of their forthcoming album, White Water, White Bloom (due September 22), Sea Wolf is offering up a new bonus track, available to the public, titled “Stanislaus.” If this song is any indication as to where the new record may be going, it sounds like we should be ready for a bigger, fuller tone from the Los Angeles trio. On “Stanislaus,” Sea Wolf has sort of honed their folk-pop to a more coherent, maybe even folksier (vocals wise) appeal. Pre-order White Water, White Bloom via Dangerbird Records. Oh and um, Sea Wolf’s ENTIRE upcoming tour in support of White Water is with the precious and haunting Sara Lov, one of my favorite singer/songwriters of late. Full list of tour dates after the jump.
