Notable Album Release: Letting Up Despite Great Faults (s/t)

letting up full length

Please excuse me if you have trouble reading any of the following – I’m trying to write this post while jumping (for joy). I previously mentioned a Letting Up Despite Great Faults EP all the way back in December, but it’s about time we get a full length album out of these fine West Coast folks. Also, this line from their press release doesn’t exactly hurt any excitement levels:

To push Letting Up’s sound and studio dexterity to another level, they enlisted the sonic help of recording engineer Andrew Lynch to record drums at The Ship (Earlimart) and the finishing touch by mastering engineer Jeff Lipton (Andrew Bird, Spoon, Camera Obscura).

*Jumping resumes*; *Vertigo surges*; *Bliss*. The indie-tronica sound gets me every time as my imagination soars. Tough luck trying to talk to me while Letting Up comes up on the speakers; I’ll be in a different world.

Letting Up has made available three tracks for download off the upcoming full-length, so catch your sneak peek below, and pick up a copy when it comes out.

Letting Up Despite Great Faults – “In Steps” [MP3]

Letting Up Despite Great Faults – “Folding Under Stories Told” [MP3]

Letting Up Despite Great Faults – “The Colors Aren’t You Or Me” [MP3]
