The Most Serene Republic out-creep Grizzly Bear on Heavens To Purgatory video

So, um, Jamie’s decision to give Grizzly Bear the honors of creepiest video of ’09 was short-lived. The Most Serene Republic just set off an entirely different form of creepy on their new video for “Heavens To Purgatory.” Strewn body parts, instruments, and old-school clothing in a Victorian dollhouse setting, what more could we ask for from Adrian Jewett and the hyper-active Canadians? (P.S. I really like it.)

I can’t comment on who has the creepier video…
But all I can say is that this got me interested in the most serene republic!
