[MP3] ArpLine: “Fold Up Like A Piece of Paper”

ArpLine

Brooklyn’s ArpLine (formerly The Kiss Off) are destined for great things. Having finished recording a full-length with producer Chris Coady (Grizzly Bear, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blonde Redhead,) the five-piece crew are ready to release the album later this year and we have the first single for you in “Fold Up Like A Piece of Paper.”

This isn’t a typical “Lee” song, but I’m trying to expand my horizons a bit, so bear with me, eh? The song combines synth elements with energetic, frantic (but not hectic) vocals. The guitars are slathered in distortion and the beat is supremely catchy. Sure to hit dance clubs in the near future, “Fold Up Like A Piece of Paper,” is a techno superstar, with pop rock elements to boot. We also find the second half of “Fold Up…” getting all experimental on us, showing off the band’s talent (or maybe Coady’s…who knows.) We’ll check back in on these guys’ progress in the coming months.
