Yes yes, more shows, no time, no money. Here’s where you can find all sorts of hip kids jammin’ out this week in the D.C./Baltimore area.

Tuesday: Edie Sedgwick
D.C.’s own crazy weirdo Edie Sedgwick (who we first talked about way back when) is coming to Sonar in Baltimore to channel the spirit of the real Edie Sedgwick and sing songs named after celebrities. Because that’s what he does. Seriously. Love it. He and locals Played Tomorrow and Northernmost are all playing with Medications. Tickets

Edie Sedgwick – “Sissy Spacek” [MP3]

Wednesday: The Presets & The Golden Filter, Exit Clov
Sweet ass electronica is coming to the 9:30 Club via The Presets and The Golden Filter, so get ready for some hot music action. I’m thinking if you don’t like moving your feet at shows, you should probably stay home. Tickets

The Golden Filter – “Solid Gold” [MP3]

The Presets – “If I Know You” [MP3]

Want an alternative? Then check out a HUGE KR favorite, Exit Clov, at the Black Cat Backstage. This band is super hot and is only getting hotter, so you BEST go see them. They’re playing with Black and White Jacksons and Typefighter. Tickets

Exit Clov – “MK Ultra” [MP3]

Saturday: Black Kids & Mates of State, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti & Vivan Girls
Everybody’s favorite/least favorite band of 2008 Black Kids is going to be at 9:30 Club with Mates of State. They’re co-headlining because Mates of State are I guess lesser known (?) which balances out Black Kids having, you know, that one song about dancing. Cute Floridian band Sunbears! is opening. Tickets

Mates of State – “The Re-Arranger” [MP3]

Black Kids – “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You (The Twelves Remix)” [MP3]

Meanwhile, Vivian Girls will be up at the Ottobar in Baltimore opening for Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti. The combination of Vivian Girls’ lo-fi passive aggressive punk with the bizarre art that flows from Ariel Pink’s mind will make for a true hipster show. Seriously, it’s gonna be off the chain. They’re with The Flying Eyes, Deep Sleep and Head Home. Tickets

Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti – “Can’t Hear My Eyes” [MP3]

Vivian Girls – “Tell The World” [Mp3]
