MP3: MONO – Follow The Map

monofollowthemapIn our constant effort to please our readership, I have what several of you have been asking for since Bob posted this video, which so movingly captured the delicacy of the music therein. Ladies and Gents, I present to you, at the bottom of the post, the MP3 for that song, “Follow The Map”. Go wild. If the video isn’t enough to persuade you to buy Hymn To The Immortal Wind, which drops March 24, then read Bob’s previous words:

To be very honest, my favorite band changes about every day. Sometimes twice a day. So when I say that Mono is my favorite band, understand that I mean until tomorrow. Ok. That being said, my favorite band is releasing their fifth album “Hymn to the Immortal Wind” soon. For those that are not familiar, Mono is an instrumental rock band out of Japan. They are signed to Temporary Residence Limited, which is host to many other bands of the same style.

Mono plays with your emotions. They have a way of bringing the mood up and down and up and down so that by the end of the album, you’re no longer sure if you can feel. This is not a bad thing; it’s an experience.  This is precisely what first drew me to them as I was listening to the album “Walking Cloud And Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered And The Sun Shined.” By the way, I also love what they name everything they do.
