Jack White’s new supergroup: The Dead Weather

the-dead-weather

Let me just give you the lineup: fronting the band is The Kills’ Allison Mosshart with Jack White on backup vox and drums (cool!). Guitar is the Queens Of The Stone Age’s Dean Fertita and on bass is Jack Lawrence from the Raconteurs.

My jaw dropped. Really, it did (okay only a little but still). The band debuted at a gig for 150 people at White’s new Nashville offices for Third Man Records tonight/last night. Attendees got a 7″ of the band’s first single “Hang You From The Heavens.”

You can listen to the track with another, “Are Friends Electric,” on the band’s official website.  Both songs are also up on iTunes, but there’s totally a Youtube video for “Hang You From The Heavens:”
