MP3s and News: Angus & Julia Stone

It’s a Wednesday night: middle of the week, a calm time hopefully before Thursday night and the weekend. For some (me), it’s been a short week with Presidents Day and all , for others (Jamie, Bob), not so much. I know guys, New York City’s just not busy enough. I’m sorry.

With that sentiment in mind, I’d like to present Angus and Julia Stone, a relaxing folk-pop Australian duo making waves internationally over the past couple years. Associations: Ethereal sound. Heartwarming vocals. Delicate Harmonies. A slice of apple pie. You’ll know what I’m talking about when you listen to the music. Start up a fire in the ol’ chimney (or for those in apartments, maybe light like, a candle? There’s nothing like watching a scented candle fire) and throw on some Angus and Julia Stone. Because really, I can’t think of anything more appropriate.

Another reason why I mention the duo tonight is because their debut album, A Book Like This, which came out ages ago everywhere else, is set for its U.S. release March 3. The first single off the album, “Mango Tree” became available Feb 10 on iTunes. I’d advise you to check it out and get a sneak peek of A Book Like This, if you haven’t already heard the album. Which I have. I also have two mp3s from it. For those who haven’t heard:
