Wavves is the project of Cali’s own Nathan Williams, and you could say it’s, ah-hem, making waves (another ZINGER!!). His first album, Wavves, made rounds over the internet this summer and he’s now getting ready to release a follow-up, Wavvves (note the extra v), due out in February.
Williams’ lazy voice sits nicely against the crunching guitars, and it’s all fed through a dirty, grungy amp. It’s a more aggressive sound that’s definitely not for everybody, but somewhere beneath that fuzzy exterior is a true musician you can’t help but appreciate. Enjoy some tunes!
