New music from Seabear, the seven-piece Icelandic group who will be releasing their second album, We Built A Fire, on one of our favorite labels, Morr Music. The release is slated for March 2010, and will certainly have an uptick in band-like quality as Seabear is gaining some momentum with their new members. Originally a solo-project (of Sindri Már Sigfússon), Seabear has obviously upped their game a bit.
The band works with a slow orchestral component on “Lion Face Boy”, the first single off the new album. Horns and strings play a prominent role and the multi-layered arrangement makes for an ambitious sound. Daydreaming music, for sure.
