When I first listened to “Magic Number,” courtesy of UK-based lamp-lovers Bromheads, I enjoyed it but at the same time wasn’t particularly thrilled. So I went back to saving babies from house fires, like any usual day, but I realized that after about three minutes the song was irrevocably stuck in my head. Irrevocably. So I listened again, enjoyed it a hell of a lot more, then did some detective work and found a video for the song (journalism!). It’s nice and quick, a dirty combination of guitar and drums that you’d sing along to if you weren’t so busy dancing to it. While saving babies from house fires.
