Well, well, what have we here? LCD Soundsytem’s newest track, “Bye Bye Bayou” recently leaked, so James Murphy has decided to release it free to the masses. On one hand, it’s too bad it leaked, on the other hand, nearly everything leaks, so props to him for giving out the track in high quality format on the LCD Soundsystem website. It’s also LCD Soundystem’s first new material since the brilliant Sound of Silver, released in 2007.
As for this track, the main beat stays the same throughout, and well, unfortunately (understatement), it’s actually kind of dull, even with the uncommon sampling. But I’m sure several of you will enjoy “Bye Bye Bayou”, so go ahead and eat it up, and definitely sign up to receive the song from the website, as you’ll get more special offers from LCDS. Here’s to hoping great LCDS stuff is on the horizon.
