Porco/Rosso

Porco Rosso

I guess pigs are “in” these days, because for some reason I’ve seen a lot of them lately on the internets, but I’m not quite sure why. I don’t like looking at them, I don’t like thinking about them, and I’m Jewish, so, really, they don’t cross my mind much otherwise.

So I’m grateful for whatever the reason was that I decided to go ahead and check out Porco/Rosso despite the album art. Because dude is legit. Dude is Mark Putterman, a 20-year-old living in NYC. He made his Kid EP over a six month period, with an amount of dedication unbeknownst to many 20-year-olds as he calls himself a perfectionist (to a fault). Judging by the EP, I’d say that’s not much of a fault at all.  If so, though, Dude has many more fantastic faulty albums to make in the future. (Is anyone able to follow this post?)
