If you’ve been following Knox Road for a few years, the name Eli et Papillon may sound familiar because of one of the most bizarre episodes I’ve ever written about. I’m still totally confused about what exactly happened, as are Eli et Papillon. But you know what? It doesn’t matter to either of us anymore, and I’d rather just focus on the French Canadian duo’s stunning debut self titled full length.
Each song is a spectacle unto itself, with vivid keys and Elise’s poised voice. The LP is the definition of a picturesque album with charming imagery throughout, even if I don’t understand the words.
