After fifteen years, Marc Bianchi is ready to put Her Space Holiday to rest. After a string of quality releases covering various styles, Bianchi is poised to release the last Her Space Holiday album on August 16. After that, Bianchi will find a new outlet for his music. So, in celebration of a job well done, Her Space Holiday offers up a free 4-song EP, in anticipation of the last album’s release, called the Black Cat Balloons EP. “Black Cat Balloons” is a track from the new record while the other three songs are exclusive to this EP.
These four songs are full of life and really speak to how much Her Space Holiday’s music has grown over the last fifteen years. Bianchi has managed to wrap all of the great aspects of Her Space Holiday into these songs; it’s almost like everything that came before was leading up to this one album. If this EP is any indication, the new, self-titled album will be a triumphant send-off for Her Space Holiday and a fantastic kick off to whatever Bianchi chooses to do next.
