In Case You Missed It: Week In Review

It was a short week for the whole crew here at Knox Road as we prepped our Siren coverage with some unanticipated delays. You should see us return to form in the coming days, and hopefully you’ve enjoyed your past week regardless – we know how important Knox Road is to you! … Right. Anyway, as long as your week wasn’t filled with pigeon shit (ahem, Kings of Leon), you should have had a good (decent?) one.

Tuesday:
We’ll be right with you

Wednesday:
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeere’s Siren!

  • So I was planning to comment on the whole Kings Of Leon thing first – I read in the paper today that apparently they quit a gig three songs in due to the whole bird poo in the mouth thing, but what I don’t understand is why they all had to pull the pin on the whole show? Wouldn’t you just get some mouthwash or something and have a good clean out and then come back on? Would be seriously pissed if I was a KOL fan and only got to hear three songs!

And then as the page was loading I realised you’d linked to me also and that gave me a nice warm fuzzy feeling and so I thank you for that as well! It’s a bloody good track isn’t it? Love it.

Yeah, I’m honestly not sure how to feel about KOL in this circumstance. I of course sympathize with the fans but I also wouldn’t want pigeons shitting in my mouth while I tried to entertain a crowd. It was a tricky situation, and the venue should have anticipated the possibility (as I’ve heard it’s been a problem there before) – there should have been better communication all around.

As for The Jezabels: yes it’s an amazing track. I went on a search for more of their material immediately after hearing it. You deserve the thanks!

  • but what about having pigeon poo in your mouth while wearing one of your own branded £65 bandannas? KOL annoy the hell out of me. kudos to the pigeons of st. louis.

  • Yeah, I think I made an error here:

“Would be seriously pissed if I was a KOL fan and only got to hear three songs!”

It should really read like this:

“Would be seriously pissed if I was a KOL fan.”

    My mistake!
