On February 15th, Rachael Dadd will be releasing a mini-album of piano songs, titled Moth on the Motor, through Broken Sound Music. Cool! Also, the physical release will be limited to 300 10″ vinyls, all hand-painted by the songwriter herself. Cooler! Also, artists are being invited to send in their own sleeves, and all profits made from each sleeve will go to the artist who drew it. Coolest!
Here’s the first song from Moth in the Motor, “Table.” Obviously it’s rooted in piano, but all of the various flourishes, from the drums to the odd assorted sounds to the clarinet, really help to lift the song up a level. And Dadd’s lovely voice doesn’t hurt either.
