Toro Y Moi announces Spring tour dates, moves up album release

Are you not all about South Carolina bedroom artist Toro Y Moi yet? Previous posts haven’t convinced you? Well maybe you need to see him live. I have no idea how good a show he puts on, but his recorded material is so good that I’m completely optimistic. Now, as is usual with most tour dates, we’re talking almost all U.S. and a little bit of Canada (sorry everybody else).

Almost every show is with The Ruby Suns, a great New Zealand band that Einstein Music Journal turned us on to a while ago. If you’re not convinced of Toro Y Mois after a live show, well then I just don’t know what to tell you. I guess you just suck or something.

Meanwhile, Carpark records has moved the release date for the CD and LP version of his debut album, Causers of This, to Feb. 2. You can already snag the digital version on iTunes if you’re so inclined.
