When I woke up today, I was totally feeling some quiet, old-fashioned-sounding pop. Which is weird, because usually I just feel tired and roll over and curse at the heavens. But today was different! And San Franciscans (Franciscoans? Franciscers?) Papercuts delivered with their new song, “White are the Waves.” The song sounds like a ditty just unearthed from some righteous time capsule, what with its simplistic tom beat and warm strings.
And that is change I can believe in.
