Frightened Rabbit set to release third album in March 2010

Frightened Rabbit, the awesome Scottish band that seems to be perpetually going through a bad break up, is coming out with a new album! It’s going to be called The Winter of Mixed Drinks (natch), and it’s due out in March 2010.

The band will also set out on a “full North American tour” in conjunction with the album’s release. So far, only the single “Swim Until You Can’t See Land” has been released. You can stream it at FatCat Records’ website.

So in 2010 we’ll have a release from Frightened Rabbit, most likely something from The National, and potentially (this is not fact) Radiohead and/or Arcade Fire. Oh my God, you guys, eargasm ’10!

Here’s the lead track from 2008’s The Midnight Organ Fight, “The Modern Leper.” Enjoy.
