Thanks to Dave at The Rawking Refuses To Stop! (well, more specifically, his twitter,) I was made aware of Doveman‘s latest track, “Angel’s Share”, which just premiered on Stereogum. I fell in love with “Breathing Out” when Liz from the Blisslist posted it way back when, and now we have another breathtaking gem of a song.
Doveman is the project of Thomas Bartlett, whose fragile, raspy voice makes your hair stand up straight and your skin tingle. He’s joined on his forthcoming album The Conformist, (which drops October 20,) by Matt Berninger, Aaron Dessner, Martha Wainwright, Beth Orton, Glen Hansard, Norah Jones and a host of other prominent singer/songwriters. I don’t know how he managed to get such a stellar crew, but then again, who cares? They’re there, Bartlett’s there, and the music is downright divine.
