For those of you under a television rock or an “I’m an adult” rock, Yo Gabba Gabba! is a kids show that regularly features indie bands playing songs about moral values and silly things. Legit! Now, they’re releasing an album, Music Is Awesome!, featuring some of those songs alongside their other regular stuff. Double legit!!
You’ll find songs from the likes of The Shins (about trying again), Chromeo (good hygiene), The Roots (family) and of Montreal (brushing your teeth!). Unfortunately, there are a lot of featured bands missing from the tracklist (The Postmarks, Mates Of State, The Ting Tings, Hot Hot Heat), but I guess winners can’t be choosers (??). Does anyone know where I can find the track that the Postmarks performed. They are amazing and such a shame that this track wasn’t included.
I hate the F*** out of that stupid show “Yo Gabba Gabba”. Who ever took part in making that show should burn in hell! That show is rediculas. Not even retarded children would watch that show. When I was growing up as a toddler we had good programs to watch like “Little Bear” or “Gula gula Island”. I know it’s a show made for pre-schoolers BUT this is taking corny to a new level.

This is an ALBUM review, not a TV show review. Perhaps you could learn a thing or two watching the show… like manners…maybe grammar… and spelling

I no I do not want to watch that supid show and learn anything. Perhaps, what would I be learing? How to dress up in bunny suit and act retarded. I’ll get Barney,Big Bird, and the Tellitubbies to beat the hell out of DJ Lance Rock,
Muno,Foofa,Brobee,Toodee,Plex, and Balloon. Maybe the “Yo Gabba Gabba” cast could learn a few things about some dignity,real education, and good entertainment! What do you have to say about that?
And no I do not think that they should have an album to come out. It’s bad enough that the people in Hollywood even let them have a show! If they start coming out with albums that would only add doo-doo on top of SHIT!
I apologize to who ever takes part in making that show possible. But if they don’t take that crap off the air!

I wouldn’t say all that.But the show is pretty bad. That’s not what I would call entertainment! THe entertainment industry has gotten really bad when they ask grown people to dress up like THAT (Note:Barney,Big Bird, and others are O.K) it’s an imbarrisment. They probably won’t have successful careers. I’m 45 years old I still watch Barney and Seasame Street cause their just plain good entertainment. But I can’t say the same for this generation of kids. They’ll grow up and think:”What was I thinking watching that”. To end this comment I would like to say:”Old School Is Still Cool”, and “The Classics Will Never Get Old”. Any replys?

A lump of grass with horns , An orange pickle with huge bumps, a pink flower,an ice burge, a robot and an ugly skinny black man (not racist), are supposed to appeal to kids? I donât think so! They donât even have a good plot. The show will make it on to VH1âs List of the worst kids shows on planet earth!

They came out with a DVD called “Germs” featuring the episodes “Scary”,”Fun”,”Halloween”,”Green”,”Band”,”Family”, and “Eat”. I didn’t buy it for my child after what they named it!
How do you exspect people to but a DVD entitled “Germs”. Are they crazy?

This is starting to sound like a bunch of old people doing the classic old person “I don’t get these kids! Back in my day we had QUALITY!” thing, you guys. Point is, as weird as it might be (for the record I don’t think it’s weird, I think it’s AWESOME), kids love this stuff. I got my niece the CD for Christmas and she’s playing it nonstop.
Just like I don’t know how anybody ever watched Howdy Doody (SO BORING) and people don’t get why I watched Ren and Stimpy (horrifying and disgusting), you’re not going to get why these kids watch Yo Gabba Gabba. You’re just not. Never. It doesn’t mean it’s worse, it just means your kids are not you as kids.
Oh, and by “guys” I mean, you, that one guy pretending to be a million different guys. Why do you do that?

I agree as well, but still the writers should make good entertainable things so that parents would actually want to sit down and watch TV with their kids.It’s called Parent/Child QUALITY TIME!
Perhaps I would take the criticism about this program (I’ve never seen)a little more seriously if the critics learned how to spell. That said, music IS awesome. I think it’s so cool the artists want to contribute. This is another great children’s record:

I agree with Bash.This show is a brain numbing monster.It makes my little brother cry.And they keep sending e-mails about their events. I didn’t even sign up for it. And after I told them to stop sending the e-mails about 3 or 4 times in a row,today I found another one in my inbox.THAT makes me think they force people to liking the show.

Every time you continue to masquerade as different people we will point it out (yes, Casesamong and Bash is the same person, as are most of the negative comments here.) You’re teetering on the brink of being blocked from this site — we appreciate negative commentary and feedback, but not when someone deceives everyone. Either post as yourself every time or don’t bother.
Has no one noticed that a couple of these characters look obscene? there is one that looks like a sex toy and another that cries all the time that looks like a condom. The show is cute and my toddler grandbaby loves it but really, I’m shocked every time I see these characters!
I’m BAAAAAAAAACCKK! With more negative comments about the outrageously rediculas and imbarrising show! Did you guys know that they started a Facebook Club called “I hate Yo Gabba Gabba”.Ha!Ha!Ha!
