There have been a lot of videos lately that show extraordinary artistic presence and some that, despite being a giant creepfest, attempt to do something really different. Ear Pwr’s new video for “Future Eyes” is neither of these things, and that’s precisely why I like it. It’s just two kids and their friends having fun in somebody’s basement. Sure, there are flashing colored lights and “special effects,” but when it comes right down to it, it’s just musicians enjoying what they do. This lifts my broke-ass recession spirits out of the gutter and makes me want to don big sunglasses and just dance! In fact, I think I will.
