Brother/sister weirdos The Fiery Furnaces are at it again, with a new album, I’m Going Away, due out July 21 on Thrill Jockey. The LP’s first single, “The End Is Near” is compact, straightforward and not completely bizarre. This is different for the band. It’s good though, I enjoy their calmer side. But here’s to hoping their freak flag will still be waved proudly on the new album.
