More exciting news from the inbox – a bunch of D.C. area, Knox Road favorites involved in this one.

Pree (MySpace cleverly titled musicforpree) is an indie folk-pop group having been compared to Modest Mouse and Regina Spektor because of an interesting blend of style – those of nasal vocals mixed with wistful, intimate arragements. Pree’s frontman is former Le Loup member, May Tabol and their 5 song debut EP, A Chopping Block, is due out March 24.

The EP includes appearances from members of Knox Road favorites Exit Clov and These United States, as well as others. The group is comprised of Tabol on vocals and keys / guitar, Chris Dewitt on drums, Vanessa Degrassi on mandolin and flute, and David Barker on electric guitar. We are lucky enough to have been provided their debut single, “In The Parlor”, which we happily get to share with you! Enjoy this group that is sure to make waves not only locally but nationally in the near future.
