From, you guessed it, New Zealand, is panda-obsessed duo Bearcat (also seen as Bear Cat). They play acoustic and sing with a determined passion about, well, usually pandas. From what I can tell they’ve recorded an EP or two here and there and they sell them on tour in not America. For those in NZ: Awesome! For us Americans: Bummerz!
However, they’re totally good and worth listening to even if it’s just on MySpace. They recently played a Christmas show with The Sing Songs and Teacups, which was apparently pretty good. Pictures are at Einstein Music Journal. Bearcat link and MP3 below.

They are a very lovely band indeed, however as of yet they don’t have an EP but one is on the way soon.
