On Wednesday December 3rd, Dr. Dog will be taking the stage at the 930 club. This is one show you do not want to miss. Dr. Dog (from Philadelphia) have a psychedelic-poppy-rock and roll sound, that reminds the listener of bands such as the Beach Boys and bands that sound like the Beach Boys. I have been hooked on Dr. Dog since I saw them at the Siren Festival two years ago. At the time I had no idea who they were, and was simply waiting for We Are Scientists to come on stage. Needless to say, Dr. Dog blew me away. I would argue that they had the best performance at that concert and yes Jamie, I want you to argue with me about that.

Well, it’s the morning after the 9:30 show, and man, was it ever awesome. Of course, I’m a little biased after having seen them four times in as many months, but ohgod was it good! I was front n center for the whole show, bopping like a madwoman and having a total blast. It was, however, unfortunate that it was such a late show. I’m sure many people stayed home knowing that it would end after the Metro closed, but I’m just happy they came back around after that horrifically small IOTA gig in September.
Their music makes me want to hug the whole world. Or, failing that, just them.
